- On Saturday May 5th we will make over the yard at J.L. Jordan Catholic School in Brockville. We will be building 2 new play structures, a sandbox and a walking path, planting trees, creating a peace garden, and beautifying our yard.

All of this work will be completed by a group of over 160 registered volunteers from our community!

We have had many donations of materials and services from our local community. The support has been tremendous and we are confident that we will reach our goal of $75,000 in cash, materials and services to invest in our yard!

On Saturday May 5th our day will begin at 8am with volunteer registration. We invite you to join us on build day and to be a part of creating this community gathering place.

As a volunteer you will be given the opportunity to work on one of the projects mentioned above. You do not have to commit to the entire day, if you have just a few hours you are welcome to stop by!

You may register now at www.brockville.ltbk.ca.

Our day will wrap up with a commemoration ceremony that will take place at the completion of the build which is expected to be around 3:00pm. Timing is tentative based on the completion of the projects. Dignitaries on hand may be asked to participate in the ribbon cutting and commemoration ceremony.

If you are not available on Saturday May 5th, other opportunities to show support for this project exist. Please feel free to contact us and we will gladly share how you may become involved.

The project is being dedicated to four heroes from our community. For more information please see the attachment to this note or check our website at www.brockville.ltbk.ca.

We have been supported and guided through this project by “Let Them Be Kids”. “Let Them Be Kids” is an international, non-profit organization that acts as a catalyst in building strong communities through building playgrounds in areas of need. LTBK saw uniqueness of our project, the need and strong willingness to succeed as reasons to support our selection as one of only 30 projects in Canada scheduled for 2012.
